Thank you!
Artists, who blew us away, brought out our tears and our smiles, our memories, and made us connect with one another.
***
Volunteers, who are the backbone of a grand event, a festival, of emotion and art.
***
Donors, who share our belief that by way of flamenco (a través del flamenco), so many great things are possible. That includes the Georgia Council for the Arts, which granted us funding to support a portion of festival expenses.
***
Aficionados, we gather together to witness and find ourselves without ever leaving home.
***
Emory University Performing Arts Studio and Poopak Mahdavi, you make everything look good on stage!

The Aperture Residency for the Cuadro is part of the Atlanta Flamenco Festival. Participants take turns using new material while accompanying resident artists - as dancers and musicians - and receive feedback and coaching from those same visiting maestros. The result: new methods and approaches in a shared experience. This year, we danced, sang, and played music in sessions on Aug. 8 & 9, at the Mask Center in Little Five Points. Thanks to the participants who arrived with open minds and crossed into new perspectives. And, thanks to Rafael Campallo, Juani de la Isla, and Diego Amador, Jr., for sharing your approaches with us. http://www.atravesearts.com

A few photos from the sixth-annual Feria ATLANTA. We gathered at the sold-out event with people who love flamenco and Spanish culture to celebrate Spring, just like at La feria de abril en Sevilla.

Thanks to Mar del Pilar Jewelry and Lunares Flamenco for supporting the event by donating prizes for the fashion contest winners. Thanks to Casa de España en Georgia for sharing Spanish culture of the fan with everyone. Thanks to Saberico for tasty tapas and paella. Thanks to everyone on stage who shared their heart and artistry. Your expressions bring us together. Most of all, thanks to the people in Atlanta who love flamenco and gathered to celebrate in an art form like no other
