RACE for the Orphans

RACE for the Orphans RACE for the Orphans is an annual 5K race that helps raise funds for families who are opening their hearts and homes to adoption.

Through your participation, RACE for the Orphans, Inc., is helping bring children home to their forever families. Founded in 2013 with a vision for Raising Awareness Compassion and Education about the needs of orphans around the world, the annual 5K RACE has grown to over 700 participants and volunteers…all committed to raising money for area adopting families.

We have exciting news to share!
The Owens family, RACE Grant Recipients in 2016 (son from Ethiopia), 2019 (daughter from India), and 2025 (sibling group from Colombia), are finally leaving this Saturday for Colombia to adopt their four children!
This has been a long process, and they will spend 5-6 weeks in Colombia, so please pray for this amazing family as they transition into becoming a family of 10!

🎉 **RACE DAY IS HERE!** 🎉💜

Today's the day!

Tonight, our community comes together for the **6th Annual Race for Ellie & Friends** to celebrate, support, and encourage families of individuals with special needs.

Whether you're running, walking, volunteering, sponsoring, or cheering from the sidelines, **thank you** for being part of something so much bigger than a race.

📍 **Walk-up Registration:** Opens at **5:30 PM**
🌈 **Color Run Begins:** **7:30 PM**

Don't Forget to Bring:

*A lawn chair to relax and enjoy the evening
*A towel for water activities
*An umbrella—we're racing rain or shine!

Come hungry! We'll have great food, music, inflatables, yard games, and plenty of colorful fun for the whole family.

Every step you take tonight helps support families of individuals with special needs through Ellie & Friends and provides scholarships for students at Lighthouse Special Education Academy.

We can't wait to celebrate with you.
