During these past few months, life has been challenging for everyone. Our world, at least for now, is not the same as it was. People’s lives have been impacted in so many ways. Due to this pandemic, it is hard to ask for donations. However, if we do not ask, then we are failing to live up to our mission, which is, “until they all have a home!”

The animals in our care, and those that will soon be in our care, depend on us for survival. We are in the business of saving lives. Covid-19 has proven to be incredibly challenging for us and for all nonprofits. We are asking for your help so that we can continue to do all that we can for the many dogs and cats that are in need. Puppy and kitten season is about to explode and we want to be there for them.

Right now, the furs need your help more than ever. We are their voice. If you can, please make a donation today, on Giving Tuesday. Your gift will change so many lives. Thank you for all you do for us.

The first Animal Meeting of 2016 was a wonderful success. Thank you to all who attended and thank you Angie Hills Boudreau for organizing this informational and fun event. Awesome participation by an awesome group. So many great suggestions and ideas were exchanged. You all rock! Special thanks to Dr. Sue Kascher for all of the important animal health care tips and information you shared with our amazing group of fosters. The Humane Society of Forsyth County could not do all that they do without all of you. Thank you!

Volunteers needed! HELP! We need two-three volunteers to assist at Healthy Paws for the vaccine clinic this weekend, April 9th. Hours needed are from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Volunteers would assist with paperwork and helping to direct the crowd and animals through the clinic and the process. With Love, Your Gentle Giant

The other day you said goodbye
And sent me to His door,
Although I yearned to stay with you
My body said, no more!

It was so hard to leave you dad
But thank you for your choice,
I could not tell them it was time
You had to be my voice!

The life we shared through all the years
Meant everything to me,
And though it broke your heart in two
With love, you set me free!

As I approached The Rainbow Bridge
My body felt so right,
All pain was gone and I could run
Into His golden light!

I crossed the bridge so very fast
And then I saw a crowd,
The other rescues took me to
“The Marley Myers Cloud!”

Oh dad, it is so very big
Tell mom it’s fluffy white,
And now I get to watch you both
I’ll guard you day and night!

I also have a special job
I’m Heaven’s Humane Heart,
I get to comfort those in need
So blessed to do my part!

God said He’s very proud of me
And also, proud of you,
He said you’re blessed in many ways
Because of all you do!

He hopes you try to carry on
Continue what we’ve done,
For many souls are lost and scared
And you can be their sun!

Oh dad I know you miss me much
What we had was so rare,
But you need to continue on
And teach folks how to care!

When it’s your time, I’ll meet you dad
I’ll sit right by His gate,
But please for now, do not give up
Continue to be great!

My life was not like other dogs
Each year I held a ball,
Because of all you did for folks
I really had it all!

Our Shelter Sponsorship program is a big hit! People want to help out and this is a great way to do it! We still have some available and would love to have every kennel, room, and play-yard sponsored by April 1st! Can you help us do this?

Honor your pet, family member, or advertise your business! Just tell us what you would like on your plaque! You can sponsor a kennel for $250...a quarantine yard for $500.00...a dog play yard or dog room for $750...or a large play yard for $1,000.00!

There are so many people who made our first ever "Hopping For Hope" a huge success! However, being in a bunny suit for over 7 hours, is not an easy task! So, to all of you THANK YOU for your hard work and dedication! To Vicki Rennick....wow....I owe you big time!

This Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m., the very talented Kelly Wright will be taking pictures of kids, both fur and non-fur, sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap! Come create a memory!
