Today, we recognize both World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day—two observances that remind us that stability is about more than having a roof overhead.

Experiencing homelessness can bring tremendous stress and uncertainty for families. That's why at Nicholas House, our work goes beyond helping families find housing. Through individualized case management, community partnerships, and connections to supportive resources, we work alongside families as they address the barriers standing between them and lasting stability.

A heartfelt thank you to Valerie Brown and the incredible team from Trimont for spending the day volunteering at Nicholas House! 💙

The team rolled up their sleeves to refresh our family bathrooms with new paint, updated finishes, and thoughtful improvements—creating brighter, cleaner, and more welcoming spaces for the families staying at our shelter. 🏠✨

These improvements are about more than a fresh coat of paint. They help create a space where families can feel comfortable, cared for, and at home while they work toward greater stability.

A big thank you to our incredible partners at TekStream for spending another day helping beautify the Nicholas House campus! 🌿

This marks the second yard clean-up day the TekStream team has volunteered with us this year, and we’re so grateful for their continued commitment to Nicholas House and the families we serve.

Their hard work and enthusiasm help make our campus a more welcoming place for our families!
