A childcare center that helps parents with the hardships of working while being free to express our faith is what Living Grace is all about!
When we help parents we help the community in which they live. Part of our mission is to help our community by providing resources to those in need. On April of 2019, Living Grace was excited to be able to provide out city police officers with 100 resource packets for those who are affected by a traumatic event. Generous donations were made and local businesses helped with donations of these packets. Whenever a natural disaster strikes you can count on organizations and groups of people to help with resources and supplies such as water, food, clothing, and shelter, but when you or a family member become affected by a traumatic event such as su***de, r**e, domestic violence, or witnesses to any of these events, you receive no resources!! We created a packet that has many local resources. One family expressed the need for a pen or pencil during these times because “people kept giving me phone numbers and information and I could never find a pen”, so we included a pen. We also included a small writing journal, and a coloring page because as one person stated “I would have welcomed ANY distraction during my family's time of need.” It is my hope that the families who receive these packets know that there is hope and help out there.
