The body is not meant to carry negative emotions, especially anger.

Anger inward is depression.
Anger outward is rebellion.
Anger with a smile is sarcasm.
Anger in silence is resentment.

In these tense days, Scripture gives us such wisdom: “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger” (Ephesians 4:26).

Unresolved anger poisons the heart, but when we bring it honestly before the Lord, He transforms it into something redemptive—for us and for those around us. How are you handling anger in this season?

I am reminded of a profound Hebraic connection that amazes me:

The letter Shin (ש), standing for Shaddai (God Almighty), perfectly mirrors the chambers of the human heart.

Even more incredible — the three valleys of Jerusalem (Valley of Hinnom, Tyropoeon Valley, and Kidron Valley) form the exact shape of the Shin from above!

This reminds us of the command: 'These words which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart' (Deuteronomy 6:6). 'But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there' (2 Chronicles 6:6).

God has inscribed His Name both within us and upon the city He chose as His dwelling. What a powerful reminder of divine design and how we are called to carry His presence in our hearts! ❤️

There is a noted trend toward spirit-filled churches, and young adults are leading the way. They may not attend as regularly as my mom's age group did, but they want what is real and life-changing. This is great news today as we celebrate Shavuot. "Barna Group released data showing that “66% of all U.S. adults say they have made a personal commitment to Jesus that is still important in their life today,” marking “a 12-percentage-point increase since 2021.” The report went on to note that the rise in faith is being particularly driven by those in their 20s and 30s—Gen Z and millennials." Proverbs 15: Today, I'm choosing verse 32: "He who spurns discipline detests himself, but he who listens to correction grows understanding." A word-for-word from the Julia E Smith Translation is "He driving away instruction despised his soul: and he hearing reproof obtained heart." The Hebrew word "lev" (heart) is often translated as understanding. Scientists are proving that the heart has a mind. One learns from the heart. Put your heart into anything, and you will succeed. It's interesting to watch our lawless world, filled with rebellion and people who want to be free from any moral restriction; a self-hatred that the devil imposed to bring down society. But as people of God, we love His laws and hide them in our heart that we won't sin against Him. Psalm 119:11

Today, May the 14th, is a sacred day that stirs the heart of every Bible-believing Christian. Seventy-eight years ago, on this very date in 1948, our great God fulfilled His ancient promise right before the eyes of the world. Just as the prophet Ezekiel saw in chapter 37—the Valley of Dry Bones coming back to life—the nation of Israel was miraculously reborn from the ashes of history; none like it in all of history.

Praise the Lord for His faithfulness! The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has kept His covenant, and we are blessed to live in these times when prophecy unfolds before us.
