What is a biorepository exactly? Think of it as a big library, but instead of books, it safely stores biological samples like blood or tissue. For children with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), biorepositories allow researchers like Dr. Reisner and his team to better understand how the injured brain heals and changes as kids grow by giving them the storage that they need for their samples. By studying these samples, researchers can discover biomarkers, improve diagnoses and develop better treatments, helping kids recover and thrive!
