Djoli Kelen Choreography & Performance Intensive 2026

For Dancers & Drummers | November 8, 2026 – February 2027

Step into the movement, rhythm, and spirit of African dance and drumming with Djoli Kelen’s annual Choreography & Performance Intensive.

This season, dancers and drummers will come together for an immersive training experience focused on technique, musicality, choreography, cultural connection, performance quality, and ensemble work. Participants will learn and develop choreography throughout the intensive, building toward a live performance during the 2027 Djoli Kelen Black History African Dance & Drum Festival.

✨ Special Guest Choreographer: Zalika Reid

This intensive is designed for artists who are ready to challenge themselves, deepen their practice, work collaboratively, and experience the power of bringing dance and live percussion together on stage.

Begins November 8, 2026
Final Performance: February 2027
📍 Atlanta, GA

Whether you are a seasoned performer or an emerging artist looking to grow, come ready to train, create, connect, and perform.

✨ September, you were AMAZING! ✨

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us this month! ❤️🏾 Our Kids & Community Classes were full of energy, joy, movement, and culture. We are so grateful for everyone who showed up, danced with us, supported us, and continues to grow with Djoli Kelen.

We also said “see you later” to our Brother Kody Allen as he begins his next chapter. Your contributions to Djoli Kelen and our community will always be part of our story. ❤️🏾🥁🏾

And we are incredibly grateful to be recognized and supported by Fulton County Arts & Culture as they invest in our annual operations and the work we do to preserve, teach, and share African and Diasporic culture.

September gave us so much to celebrate—and October is about to be even bigger! 🎉🏾
