Fractures within Georgia's Republican Party continue.

State Sen. Colton Moore’s push to have the House’s own top lawyer arrested shows just how deep the divisions run inside Georgia’s Republican leadership.

What started as a clash over access to the House floor and insults hurled at the former Speaker has turned into a courtroom battle over power, accountability, and who gets to enforce the rules.

Something’s broken when state officials are... we'll call it, turning on each other... instead of focusing on the work.

Georgia deserves better than political (in)fighting.

Not only are Trump’s tariffs causing beef prices to go up, if you’re a Georgia farmer looking for some relief, he thinks you’re too stupid to understand his big brain tariff plan.

In a recent Truth Social post he had the audacity to say U.S. cattle farmers “don’t understand” how they have benefited from his trade “policies” as their costs are skyrocketing from Trump’s tariff grift. To add insult to injury, instead of using our hard-earned tax dollars to help Georgia farmers when they need it most – he’s sending it to farmers in another hemisphere.

Don’t believe us? How about the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association?

This sounds like anything but “America First” to us.

Are you thinking about what can be done now? The Atlanta Community Food Bank has a few suggestions.

Volunteer. Donate. Organize a Food or Fund Drive.

Remember: Food Banks buy in bulk, which means lower prices. Donations go a long way - even $10.

As the federal government shutdown continues, today marks the first missed paycheck for thousands of federal workers across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. For neighbors already balancing tight budgets, the loss of income adds yet another strain. The shutdown has also halted federal nutrition funding, leaving millions of meals unfunded and deepening the hunger gap across our community.

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is thankful for the continued outpouring of support from the community during this challenging time. If you’re looking for more ways to support our mission, here's how you can get involved:

🥫Food and Fund Drives - Organize a Food or Fund Drive with your community and help put meals on the table for our neighbors. Set a goal, track your progress, and invite others to join. Monetary donations go even further. Every $1 provides 3 meals for families facing hunger. Click here to get started: https://bit.ly/46mT0Uz

Your support today helps fill the gap by providing food and stability for families facing the impact of the shutdown. Donate today: https://bit.ly/460GVF4

Job cuts that once felt distant are now hitting right here in Georgia after the latest corporate quarterly reports.

UPS (Sandy Springs HQ): ~48,000 jobs cut nationwide.
Amazon: 14,000 corporate roles reduced, Georgia offices affected.
Carter’s, Inc. (Atlanta-based): 300 office jobs cut, 150 stores closing — citing tariffs.
Rivian: 600+ layoffs as its Georgia EV project slows.
Comcast: 240 jobs cut at Cobb County HQ.
GM: 300 jobs lost at its Georgia Innovation Center.
CDC (Atlanta): Down 4,300 workers.
Commerce: 100+ layoffs at a major book distributor in NE Georgia— no warning given.

Add SNAP benefit cuts, rising healthcare costs, and tariffs driving up prices, and Georgia families are being squeezed from every side.

And if ACA Subsidies expire, we're expected to lose another 33,600 jobs in the healthcare sector.

Georgia’s economic fate now feels up in the air as both Georgia Republicans and Democrats point to the cost of living and the economy as the most critical issue facing our state.

How are you helping your community in this moment?
