The Villages Blues Society

Just saw Rev. Billy C. Wirtz and Bob Kealing present their documentary The Florida Chitlin’ Circuit — and it was fantastic.
Powerful stories about the Black clubs that launched so many legends during Jim Crow era, great conversation between Billy and Bob, and of course some killer piano from the Rev. Billy C Wirtz.
I walked out feeling inspired and grateful we get to host talent like this right here in The Villages Blues Society. Truly amazing.

Thank You, Volunteers of The Villages Blues Society! 🎶
What an incredible honor — The Villages Blues Society is now the largest blues society in the world! This title belongs to every single one of you who showed up, pitched in, and made it all possible. Your outstanding support is the real reason we reached this milestone.
A huge shout-out to Josh Rowand and Friends for the fantastic entertainment. And if you haven’t heard Biscuit Miller belt out “Here Kitty Kitty,” you’re missing out on one of the funniest, most infectious blues songs around! 🎵
The night got even sweeter when every volunteer received an appreciation gift — what a wonderful surprise!
Thank you to The Villages Blues Society for another unforgettable evening filled with friendship and the very best blues music.
Here’s to the volunteers who make it all happen. We couldn’t do it without you! 💙Donna Charles TVBS reporter
