Yesterday members of DCFR and Local 1492 were present in Colorado Springs CO at the annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial. This year's memorial was bittersweet, joining Leigh Hinton Fant the wife of the late Preston Fant as we honored Preston who's name is now among the number of 193 IAFF members who died on the line of duty in 2025 and 95 legacy members. We want Leigh and the Fant family to feel love and supported by their extended fire family during this moment so we showed up for them.

Today we pause to honor and remember Master Firefighter Preston Fant.

A dedicated and devoted Husband, Father and Firefighter, Preston lived a life of service, sacrifice, courage and commitment to others. Though he may no longer stand among us, Preston's memory remains a part of the DCFR family and the Fire service at large and will never be forgotten.

Today we remember his service. We remember his sacrifice. We remember his name.

Rest Easy Preston Fant.
