We have revamped our competition and we are planning new events for the upcoming school year. The new event empowers Students Through Motivational Debate Techniques. Our focus is to improve critical thinking, public speaking, argumentation, active listening, and teamwork. We provide a dynamic academic experience designed to develop and showcase students’ critical thinking skills from elementary through high school. Grounded in current research on student engagement and collaborative learning, the program features two interactive events that encourage deep thinking, teamwork, and real-world problem solving.
In the Argumentum Event, teams of four students investigate contemporary issues, analyze multiple perspectives, and engage in structured debates. This experience strengthens research skills, logical reasoning, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
In the Solve and Defend Competition, students tackle complex, thought-provoking math problems that require more than just computation. After solving the problems, participants must present and defend their reasoning, helping them build confidence, precision in thinking, and the ability to justify their conclusions.
