About our Founder:
Cheryl l. Brown is our Founder and Executive Director of LIVEd2TELL Cancer Support Outreach, Inc., she is basically Our Story!
Our founder started her nonprofit 501(c)3 cancer support organization to help diagnosed individuals overcome their illnesses and the emotional struggles that tag team cancer. She founded Lived2Tell with the desire to help patients conquer their fears of their illnesses as she faced those of her own with three cases of recurring breast cancer. In which, the story continues after the third but by God grace and mercy he sustained her and guided her with the mission to guide others through the rough journey she faced time and time again.
Cheryl started LIVED2TELL’s work in 2000 while in her third fight with cancer. In 2001, Cheryl was left with no other option but to retire from her corporate job due to complications from her cancer. This only added fuel to her already growing passion. Cheryl began to pour her heart into helping her patients and their families through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, and hasn’t stopped since. Because she braved cancer without strong support, she knows just how draining fighting this illness can be.
Her organization began by assisting women affected by the disease but has since opened to men and women alike because she knows no one should be left alone in a time of need.
By improving patients’ overall quality of life, Cheryl knows her patients have a better and stronger chance of winning the battle with cancer.
She is always willing to help others learn more about fighting cancer. She provides training programs, workshops, and educational training to increase cancer awareness, all the while creating a support system for those who need it most. From personal mobility assistance to home care assistance to emotional support, Cheryl and her jubilant character are there when her patients need them as they live to tell their stories of survival.
