Today, is DAF Day, a national day dedicated to putting Donor-Advised Funds to work for the causes that matter most. 💙

A Donor-Advised Fund, is a meaningful opportunity to turn charitable dollars into real impact at Christian City.

Your generosity helps Christian City provide care, resources and opportunities for children and families in our community, giving them the support they need to build stronger futures.

Consider recommending a grant from your DAF to Christian City and joining donors across the country in making a difference: https://christiancity.org/donate/.

Christian City was proud to sponsor the 29th Annual IMPACT Awards, hosted by the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta, celebrating the companies and community leaders making a meaningful difference across the city.

It was especially wonderful to spend the day alongside so many of our corporate partners and volunteers who continue to show up for Christian City and the people we serve. We were also glad to see a familiar face leading the program. 11Alive’s Cheryl Preheim, who serves on Christian City’s Advisory Board, was the event’s emcee.

Congratulations to this year’s IMPACT Award recipients, and thank you to the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta for bringing together so many people committed to strengthening our community.

A special new symbol of faith now stands at Christian City. 💚

Retired welder Blue Chilton handcrafted a beautiful cross and, thanks to Pastor Dwight Webster, it found a home here on our campus. Dwight reached out to Christian City about the gift and personally helped deliver it to us.

After the cross was installed, members of our community gathered for a dedication ceremony to hear its story, share in prayer and recognize the people who made this meaningful addition possible.

Our sincere thanks to Blue and Hilda Chilton, Dwight and Becky Webster, and everyone who joined us for the dedication. We are so grateful for this generous gift and the care behind it.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Terry Chapman Day of Service and gave their time, energy and talents to help care for our campus and the people who call Christian City home.

Terry Chapman left a lasting mark on Christian City through his willingness to serve and his passion for using his skills to help others. Seeing so many volunteers come together in that same spirit was a beautiful way to honor his legacy and continue the work he cared so deeply about.

To every individual and group who showed up, rolled up their sleeves and lent a hand: thank you. Your service makes a difference, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the Christian City community. We look forward to seeing you in the spring for another day of service!💚

“Many Cultures, One Home” 🌎❤️

Our senior residents gathered for a special celebration of the many cultures, traditions and backgrounds represented throughout Christian City.

They were invited to create tables showcasing a culture meaningful to them, whether it represented their country of origin or a part of America they most identify with. Each display included something to see and a sensory element, from delicious foods to spices and other traditions.

The afternoon also included a cultural spotlight, where residents had the opportunity to share more about their heritage. We learned about the six peoples of Guyana and even heard about the meaning and pronunciation of one resident’s name in Welsh.

After visiting the displays and sampling plenty of delicious food, everyone came together for a celebration filled with food and music from the cultures represented.

We are grateful that people from so many different backgrounds have chosen to call Christian City home and, together have created such a welcoming and vibrant community. 💙

There is still time to lend a hand! 💚🔨

Our annual Terry Chapman Day of Service is happening THIS Friday, September 25, and we’re looking for individuals and groups to join us at Christian City from 9 AM–1 PM.

Terry Chapman, a longtime Delta Air Lines employee, changed lives at Christian City with his hammer and saw, helping build places on our campus where vulnerable people could live, receive care and experience community. This special day of service is an opportunity to honor his legacy by continuing the work he cared so deeply about.

Come on your own, bring a few friends or gather a group and spend the morning making a difference right here at Christian City.
