Georgia’s medical ma*****na program is changing.
Governor Brian Kemp has signed SB 220 into law, expanding Georgia’s medical ma*****na system through several major policy changes including removing THC potency limits, allowing va**ng products, and expanding available product formats.
As these changes move forward, GRMP believes it is important for Georgians to stay informed and engaged in conversations surrounding public health, youth prevention, community safety, and ma*****na commercialization.
Some prevention leaders, physicians, addiction specialists, and community advocates continue to express concerns regarding:
• High-potency THC products
• Increased youth exposure and appeal
• Mental health and addiction risks
• Rapid commercialization without broader public understanding
We encourage Georgians to continue learning, asking questions, and engaging with local leaders about the future of ma*****na and intoxicating h**p products in our state.
GRMP will also be launching a statewide outreach effort this summer to strengthen community education and collaboration across Georgia.
Together, we can help keep Georgia informed, healthy, and safe.
