Early Bird registration is open for our 4th Annual Woodstock Lions Club Foundation's 4th Annual Fall Pickleball Jamboree.

Early Bird registration is for the month of August 2026 only, and the event fee is only $35. (plus a $5 Pickleball Bracket fee).

Register now in August before the fee goes up September 1st.

The Woodstock Lions Club partnered with the Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation on August, 4th, 2026, to serve lunch to families with children who are cancer patients at Arthur M. Blank Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. This was a great service event, and it was an honor to work with Nicolaus Griffith, Director, and Emily Jordan, Manager, Patient and Family Services, both with CURE' Childhood Cancer Foundation, to serve so many families affected by childhood cancer.

Thank to Lions' Robert Shull, Tracey Meckley, and Karl Lynn for their service today.

Join the Woodstock Lions Club for an inspiring afternoon of art, fun, and community as we raise funds to fight hunger. Every brushstroke helps put food on a family's table. Together let's paint hope! On August 222nd, local artist Angie Icard, will guide participants to paint and customize a portrait of a sunset. Each participant will leave with a quality keepsake you can proudly display for years to come.

This event supports the Woodstock Lions Club Foundation, and the net proceeds raised will benefit the St. Michaels Food Pantry giving food to those in need.

The class will be held from 1-4 pm. All painting supplies and refreshments will be provided. This event is also open for children 12 and above as long as a parent or guardian also signs up for the event.

We will also be having a silent auction to raise additional funds for the pantry.

Please come join us and/or share this information with your family and friends. Your support is needed as food insecurity is real in Woodstock, GA.

Members of the Woodstock Lions Club were present at the July 25 District 18-L Cabinet Meeting held in Cartersville. District Governor Dennis Chapman charged all Lions to “fill Dennis’ box” in the coming year with service projects. Dr. Deborah Levin gave a presentation on marketing and public relations, explaining how to bring the message of Lionism to the public. An additional presentation was given by Cindy Williams of the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce. Cindy explained the importance of developing relationships with local chambers and businesses and gave insightful tips on how to sell the impact of Lions by showing examples of community service. Tail Twister Frank Hunton was hilarious with his stories and jokes. The Woodstock Lions Club was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Georgia Lions Camp in appreciation for outstanding contribution and assistance to aid people who are blind or have low vision.

The Woodstock Lions Clubs' next Club meeting is Monday, July 27th, starting at 6:45 pm, at The Tavern at Towne Lake.

Our speaker is Nanon Morrison, the new President of the Woodstock Lions Club. (the Lions' fiscal year runs July '26 - Jun '27). President Nanon will give us her vision for our Club for the new year.

The Woodstock Lions Club held it’s “end of the year” annual picnic and club meeting on Monday, June 22, 2026. We ended our year by honoring two of our very deserving Lions, Frank and Cheryl Hunton, with the “Melvin Jones Fellow Award”. This extremely prestigious award recognizes Lions for their exemplary humanitarian service to their community. We also presented our “Lion of the Year Award” to Lion Robert Shull for his outstanding contributions to our club’s service events throughout the year, especially vision screening and serving lunch for the Cure Foundation to children with Cancer at the Aurther M. Blank Children’s Hospital. We greatly appreciated the visit of our District 18L Area Governor, Steve Woodward, who conducted the induction ceremony of our two newest members, Karl and Donna Lynn. DG Steve also performed the induction ceremony for our incoming club officers for the 2026-2027 Lions Year. Our current Club President, Stan Stanly, was extremely honored to receive a Leadership Award from the Woodstock Lions BOD that was presented by our incoming Club President, Nanon Morrison. Thank you to the Woodstock Lions for a great year!

A small group of Woodstock Lions attended the Lions of Georgia State Convention. Fun and fellowship was had by all. During breakfast DG Steve Woodward invited each of his cabinet members to give updates. Our very own GLT Stan Stanly updated the crowd with the training completed this year. GMT Fran Schafer gave updates on the added clubs, and breakfast was concluded by honoring Lion Barry Krebs with the Golden Chain Award. Special guest International Director Gary Steele shared many motivational quotes that were an inspiration to him and concluded sharing how his home state of NC has an annual project assisting over 500 visually impaired people in a fishing tournament. After dinner several awards were given out for our Global Causes. Then, International Leadership awards were presented to David Chase, Mark Talley and Ted Viceroy. Followed by Presidential Awards presented to PDG David Crawford, Patty White and Diane Lott. Erwin Crumley Awards were presented to PCC Dennis Chapman, Angela Helwig, Willie Cooper and Debbie Griggers. Lastly, they announced the upcoming MD Council, congratulations to the incoming Council Chair PDG Steve Williams.

We did it! We completed our White Cane Walk at Dupree Park in Woodstock on May 30th. We had 13 walkers and we raised $3,725. (The White Cane walk money is for the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation to assist those that need eye surgery.)

However, our goal was $5,000. Therefore to help us hit our goal, we are extending the donation website until June 30th.
