Today was a powerful milestone for our YCAM Mentorship Program participants.

For the first time this program year, our students formally presented their group problem statement to the City of Atlanta Parks & Recreation Department leadership team—not as observers, but as young community advocates.

Wearing their new Turner Foundation uniforms, our participants stood with confidence, professionalism, and purpose as they shared their ideas, concerns, and solutions for improving community spaces across Atlanta.

Moments like this reflect exactly what YCAM is about:
preparing youth to show up, speak up, and be taken seriously at decision-making tables.

We’re incredibly proud of this group and grateful to the City of Atlanta Parks & Recreation team for creating space for youth voice and leadership.
