Menopause is a natural process for people who menstruate – and it is not the end of your vitality! There is some evidence that living with HIV, including lifetime survivors, may experience the transition into menopause earlier than women not living with the virus – and that their symptoms may be more intense. However, we need more to support women in this transition – and more open conversation about how menopause affects our bodies and lives.
