HONORING PASTOR JOSEPH BELLE AND HIS NEW WIFE
Joseph was sponsored as a student at DPTC by his mentor Stephen (DPTC graduate and head of the Ileret ministry). Joseph graduated with the Class of 2023 and now is a pastor in Ileret helping Stephen in the work of the ministry. He was recently married and the visiting DPTC pastors honored the couple with a wedding gift and a time of prayer for their marriage.

THREE DAYS OF MINISTRY
Waking up each day in the mission field is a joy with so much going on in ministry. There was a Jesus film presentation, sports evangelism, a crusade, door to door evangelism, children’s ministry and one-on-one ministry.

Sharing the Gosepel with the Unreached - Class of 2025 Mission Trip continued

The Class of 2025 left camp at 3:00am on Tuesday, Nov 11, on a school bus followed by a lorry full of supplies. School Director Paul and his wife Judy followed the group at 3:30am in Paul’s “mission truck” (his personal truck) also fully packed. The first leg of the trip ended in North Horr late the next day where they were hosted for a night at a local church. Following breakfast and a time of worship and prayer the next morning, the team left on the final leg of the trip to Ileret.

The DPTC Class of 2025 arrived at Chemi Chemi Camp on Sunday, November 9 for their final semester at DPTC. This final school session is always an internship experience for each DPTC class to put into practice the pastoral and biblical training they have been receiving at DPTC for the prior two years. The class will be executing their plans for a mission trip to a mostly unreached tribe in the desert area of northeast Kenya on the border of Ethiopia. The final destination is a small village called Ileret. The people-group residing there is the Daasanach tribe.

A 2014 graduate of DPTC Pastor Stephen Mugiira, having a heart for missions, felt called to minister to this remote tribe following his graduation. He moved his family to Ileret and has spent the last 10 years establishing churches in Ileret and in surrounding villages. He and his wife also started a school for children in the region. Pastor Stephen invited the Class of 2025 to spend their internship assisting him in his mission to the unreached villages in his surrounding area.

On Monday, November 10, the pastors spent the day preparing mission supplies to be loaded on the truck in the evening. An advance team including driver Samuel, Pastor Mucheru and Cheff Kangendo had already left the night before at 3:00am for the 18+ hour drive.
