Lyla’s Legacy Corporation

A faith based, non-profit providing care for families that have had a stillborn or infant loss. We were crushed and didn’t know what to do or where to turn.

Heather and I got married in 2015 and later that year, we were blessed to find out we were pregnant with our first child, a baby girl we named Lyla Jane. As Heather made it into the third trimester of pregnancy, Lyla Jane was an active little girl. Heather was having a perfect pregnancy, and we were swiftly approaching 40 weeks. Unfortunately in July of 2016, at 39 weeks, our little girl Lyla Jane

made her way to heaven. From there, Heather and I were provided a mountain of support. We were showered with love from family and friends, we were given counseling help and guidance, and we were provided a place to go and grieve with each other. Our vision at Lyla’s Legacy Corp is to support and walk with families as they grieve the loss of a baby. We want to provide the best possible care and support that we are equipped to provide – the same way we were provided such amazing care. Our mission is to build a community of support around grieving families by providing Spiritual, Emotional, and Social support in order to nurture peace and tranquility. Your donations will allow us to provide counseling, financial support, and help create a retreat for families in their time of deep grief. We are so blessed to provide this care to grieving families and grow Lyla’s Legacy Corp with you.

We’re Heather and Kyle Allen: mom and dad to Lyla, Knox, and Hudson.

A few months after getting married in 2015, we found out we were expecting a baby girl. We were so excited! But by July of the following year, our world completely changed when we lost our daughter, Lyla, after what had been a healthy, nearly full-term pregnancy.
Lyla’s Legacy was created in her honor. Our heart is to walk alongside other families who’ve experienced the loss of a baby… to show up, to listen, and to offer the same love and support that carried us through.

In 2015, Heather and her husband were filled with joy as they prepared to welcome their baby girl, Lyla Jane.
At 39 weeks, their world was shattered when Lyla passed away.

In the midst of their grief, they were held up by love and support—an experience that inspired them to create Lyla’s Legacy.

Today, their mission is to extend that same care and compassion to other families facing this unimaginable loss.
