Liberian Professionals for Development (LPfD) is an independent not for profit think tank with no political affiliations; established with the primary purpose of organizing professional Liberians, irrespective of religious or political persuasion, around the central theme of the reconstruction, economic and social development of Liberia. LPfD conducts and sponsors professional and academic policy
research and issues white papers for influencing sustainable growth and development in Liberia. LPfD seeks to effect sustainable growth and development in the following 18 sectors:

Our Leadership
LPfD is governed by a nine-member board of directors which ensures:
• The non-profit achieves the organization's goals
• Maintaining donor loyalty and community confidence
• Working to meet all laws and government regulations
• Developing the non-profit's reputation and motivations
• Engaging in strategic planning with managers and executives
The non-profit is led by an Executive Director who is responsible for daily operations, partner relationships, engagements and oversight of sector leaders and deliverables. Leadership and professional membership in the 18 sectors are open to qualified Liberian professionals with a proven professional track record and technical expertise that enables them to contribute solid sectoral advice on policy decisions and guidance in Liberia. The members should be of good moral character and be willing to put national pride above political and partisan affiliation. To ensure said qualities, these individuals are recruited on referral basis only – referrals by existing members or affinity partners willing to vouch for their character.
