For July's , we are highlighting Noy, our Student Ambassador, following her recent graduation. Read below to learn more about how being a KIDS Scholar and Ambassador has shaped her journey.
1. How has being a KIDS scholar impacted your experience as a student and your current role?
Being a KIDS scholar has given me a new perspective on education and service. Before joining KIDS, I studied under a different scholarship program, so I experienced what it was like to receive support as a student. At that time, I didn't really understand how much effort went into raising funds, managing a scholarship program, and supporting students behind the scenes.
Now, through my current role, I have a much better understanding of the hard work, dedication, and teamwork required to run an organization and make these opportunities possible. It has made me appreciate the generosity of donors and the commitment of everyone involved. This experience has also inspired me to work with greater purpose and to give back by helping create opportunities for other students.
2. What is your favorite part about being a KIDS ambassador?
My favorite part about being a KIDS ambassador is being able to encourage students who are in need to pursue their dreams. Education has the power to change lives, and I believe every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
I love knowing that I can be part of their journey and encourage them to keep moving forward. We never know who these students will become in the future. They could become teachers, doctors, leaders, or people who make a meaningful difference in their communities. Being able to inspire them is the most rewarding part of being a KIDS ambassador.
3. What advice do you have for current and future KIDS scholars?
My advice is to believe in yourself and never give up, even when the expectations of others feel overwhelming. I know that pressure can sometimes make you feel stressed.
Whenever you feel that way, try to think of it differently. Instead of seeing the expectations as pressure, see them as hope. Your donors believe in your potential and are investing in your future, not because they expect anything in return, but because they genuinely want to see you succeed. Let that hope motivate you to keep learning, work hard, and become the best version of yourself. One day, you may have the opportunity to give back and change someone else's life, just as others have helped change yours.
