DCJJC supports programs designed to redirect youth who come into contact with the juvenile justice system, promote their education, protect the best interests of the children, and restore the lives of neglected or abused children. The Council is comprised of representatives from the judicial, education, mental health, social services, legal, and law enforcement communities of DeKalb County. The Co

uncil works in conjunction with the Juvenile Court to assist with the implementation of strategies by focusing on grant writing, community and interagency collaboration, coordinating meetings, assisting with data collection, researching programs and interventions, interagency training, and creating programs that are from an evidence-based model.
