DID YOU KNOW?

That the CESA Project: Educational Skills for Security and Economic Autonomy in Boké

Ensure the sustainable acquisition of basic literacy, numeracy, reading, and writing skills for 100 adults, with at least 70% of beneficiaries being women.

Integrate practical skills training into the curriculum, directly linked to the economic realities of Boké, including micro-enterprise management, workplace safety, and family health.

Foster a community environment that promotes lifelong learning and recognizes adult education as a key pillar of social and economic development.

Education is the foundation of sustainable development.

The Boké region drives Guinea's economy, yet 68% of adults are illiterate, 75% among women and rural communities. This crisis traps families in a cycle of exclusion: Without literacy, social investments like those from Fondation Waznii struggle to reach their full potential.

That's why Jamila Foundation is launching —a strategic project to eliminate functional illiteracy and multiply the impact of all community investments. When people can , , and , becomes sustainable.

Join us in breaking this cycle. Literacy transforms lives.

We launched the Project yesterday — and our central message is gratitude. A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Fondation Wazni UMS Company, and especially Mr. Fadi Wazni.

Their generous donation and personal commitment made this program possible, giving 100 learners in Katougouma access to literacy and a path to self-reliance. Your support transforms lives.

"Somewhere in Guinea tonight, a child is going to sleep with dreams bigger than their circumstances. Let us be the generation that ensures those dreams are not abandoned because of poverty, distance, or lack of opportunity. Every child deserves quality education. Every child deserves a future."

Guinea’s mineral wealth is a nation’s asset — but the women who work in mines too often face dangerous conditions, limited access to training, and exclusion from leadership and fair pay. The Jamila Foundation, in partnership with Women in Mining (WIM) Guinée, is changing that story by putting women at the center of sustainable mining development. Soft skills are changing lives for women in Guinea‑Conakry, one conversation, one confident pitch, one leadership moment at a time.

Through mentoring, vocational training, literacy programs, and the Socio‑Professional Integration Project, the Jamila Foundation is helping women build communication, confidence, teamwork, and business skills that turn potential into real income and community influence.

When women have the same opportunities to develop these skills as men, GDP per capita can rise by up to 15%. That's the power of soft skills for individuals, families, and entire economies.

I'm inspired by how focused, culturally adapted programs are unlocking women's leadership and entrepreneurship in Guinea. Let's invest more in soft skills + vocational training for women across Africa.

Women Telling Stories, Transforming Communities
When women tell their stories, they do more than share personal experiences, they open doors to healing, courage, and change.

Every story carries strength, wisdom, and the power to inspire another woman who may be facing silence, fear, or uncertainty.

Women’s voices remind us that lived experience is a powerful tool for building understanding and driving progress.

This is why the work of the Jamila Foundation matters so deeply. By creating space for women to speak, share, and be heard, the foundation helps turn individual stories into collective empowerment.

It encourages women to claim their voices, support one another, and become agents of change in their families and communities.

When a woman tells her story, she does not stand alone. She becomes part of a movement of resilience, dignity, and hope, a movement that the Jamila Foundation continues to nurture and amplify. hashtag hashtag hashtag
