When Pallavi* started, she could speak only a few words of English. Week after week, she practised new words and sentences, determined to find her voice. Along the way, her volunteer teacher became a trusted friend, and the classroom became a place where they learned from each other.
As her English improved, so did her confidence. Today, Pallavi helps her classmates learn—and even supports new volunteers finding their feet in the classroom.
