Customers of ours from New York named their boat FIRST AMENDMENT for the foundational principle of democracy, and, for that matter, science: open, unfettered, discussion and debate.

Quarterboards for a Cause--Supporting LMS and Fairyland Elementary in May & June.

The Covid pandemic greatly impeded our local school budgets, taking away their primary fundraising events. Through the months of May and June, QFAC will be donating all proceeds to our Lookout Mountain schools, in recognition of our teachers tremendous efforts this past year and to help close the gap given the loss of the annual fundraising events.

Introducing: HOPSCOTCH Cam and I really struggled at first on what we were going to name our home. We wanted a name that represented raising our young children, the cottage style of the house, and some symbolism to the respite it provide us while building Bellhop. After a few discarded ideas it came to us. We were in the front yard talking when we looked over to see our daughters playing hopscotch in the driveway. That was it.

Introducing COMPASS ROSE PUB. Walter found Quarterboards for a Cause on the internet and shared with us how he arrived at COMPASS ROSE PUB. “The name came about from the inlayed compass roses. My wife Clair encouraged me to incorporate some inlay and carving. Being a former Coast Guardsman and living on the water, I felt a nautical theme would be in order and decided to do the compass rose inlay. That became the focal point and thus the name. What better way to celebrate a nautical themed bar but with a quarterboard!”
