Alabama Power plans on leaving toxic waste near our waterways where pollutants will leach into rivers and groundwater indefinitely. Follow the link below to send comments to ADEM to encourage them to require Alabama Power to remove their toxic waste.

On the weekend of October 9th we set out to Tanglewood Biological Station for another bioblitz! We recorded hundreds of observations across two days of sampling. We even sampled nocturnal animals. This past weekend we collected four trash-bags of litter in under an hour of work over a quarter-mile stretch of road. You can help us turn the tide against the environmental and societal damages of litter in several ways. First, don't litter. Second, make sure your trash and recycling is packaged properly when you put it out for pick up. Finally, take a walk around your neighborhood, a local park, or a roadside and pick up litter!
