When you give to the Georgia FirstGen Foundation, you’re helping first-generation students unlock opportunities that change the trajectory of their lives. Your support strengthens access to resources, mentorship, leadership development, and greater equity for students across Georgia.

As the needs of FirstGen students continue to grow, we’re expanding our impact: building partnerships, removing barriers, and creating pathways to long-term success.

Walking onto a college campus for the first time can change everything, especially for students paving the way as future FirstGen graduates. At our Summit, these incredible scholars took their first steps toward futures they’re boldly creating for themselves, their families, and their communities. 🌟

At Georgia FirstGen, we’re honored to stand beside them, opening doors, building confidence, and reminding every student that they belong here. With more than 1 in 3 college students nationwide identifying as first-generation, moments like these matter more than ever.

Huge thanks to gwinnettschools for this beautiful recap and keynote speaker Evie Suarez for inspiring our next generation of leaders.

✨ Follow our journey and support our mission to uplift every first-gen student in Georgia.

On May 9th, we proudly celebrated the accomplishments of our graduating seniors at the FirstGen Senior Banquet, held at PCOM Georgia. The evening was filled with pride, inspiration, and a shared excitement for what lies ahead.

We were honored to welcome Camilo Hernandez as our keynote speake. She is a first-generation Colombian American with dual master’s degrees in Public Health and Biomedical Sciences from Emory University. Camilo’s powerful story and unwavering commitment to advancing health equity deeply resonated with our graduates and their families.

The Senior Banquet served as a meaningful reminder of the strength, resilience, and limitless potential within our FirstGen community. We came together to recognize our seniors’ hard work and to send them off with heartfelt encouragement as they begin the next chapter of their journeys.
