May is National Foster Care Month, and the Junior League Gwinnett & North Fulton Counties would like to honor the incredible children, foster families, advocates, and community partners who work every day to provide hope, stability, and support for youth in foster care.

Together, we can help create brighter futures through compassion, service, and advocacy. ❤️

April’s National Volunteer Month continues to be a time our League holds especially close to our hearts. ❤️ It’s a celebration of service, sisterhood, and the powerful impact we can make when we come together with purpose.

At our April GMM, members gathered for an evening full of fellowship, food, and fun—but also meaningful reflection and celebration.

We proudly recognized the incredible impact of our 2026 Little Black Dress Initiative campaign, which raised awareness about period poverty and exceeded our fundraising goals. Because of this effort, our League can continue driving change, expanding outreach, and uplifting those in our community who need it most.

To close out the meeting, members rolled up their sleeves to assemble care kits filled with essential menstrual products—small packages with a big purpose, supporting individuals experiencing need with dignity and care.

None of this work would be possible without our dedicated members, committed sustainers, and the unwavering support of our community partners. Thank you for standing with us, fueling our mission, and helping shift the narrative around period poverty for the better. 💫

📚✨ April is School Library Month!

The Junior League Gwinnett & North Fulton Counties is proud to join the national celebration honoring school libraries and the school librarians who play a vital role in shaping student success.

School Library Month was established by the American Association of School Librarians to recognize the essential impact of strong school libraries in transforming learning. Since its official launch in 1985, this annual observance has encouraged schools and communities across the country to highlight the importance of access to books, information, and dedicated library spaces.

School libraries are more than collections of books—they are hubs for literacy, creativity, research, and lifelong learning. We are proud to support and uplift the educators and programs that make these spaces possible.

Join us this April in celebrating and advocating for school libraries in our community! 📖

As we continue to celebrate National Volunteer Month this April, we’re sending love to our phenomenal members who generously gave their time and energy to support Junior Achievement last month at the Discovery Center in Lawrenceville! ⭐️

Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their economic success by delivering hands-on programs in financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship. Through interactive experiences, students gain real-world skills that inspire confidence, spark ambition, and help them envision brighter futures.

Our dedicated volunteers had the incredible opportunity to engage directly with students—sharing knowledge, encouraging big dreams, and helping bring these important lessons to life. Moments like these are what community impact is all about. ❤️

Junior League Gwinnett & North Fulton Counties is proud to support organizations like Junior Achievement that are shaping the next generation of leaders. We believe in the power of service, the strength of community partnerships, and the lasting difference volunteers can make.

Thank you to our amazing members for continuing to show up, give back, and lead with purpose!

As we continue to celebrate National Volunteering Month this April, we’re reflecting on a special moment from July 2025 when our dedicated members, Dominic McCormick and Ramona Toole supported Because One Matters.

Together, they spent time sorting, organizing, and assembling school supply kits to help set students up for a successful start to the school year.

There’s nothing more rewarding than rolling up our sleeves and giving back to our community—especially when it helps our students shine.
Every act of service, big or small, makes a lasting impact.

We encourage everyone to find meaningful ways to give back and support their communities each day. ❤️

🎉 Congratulations to our member, Kyndra Jones!

We’re proud to celebrate Kyndra’s successful launch of her first training program for Informatics Tech Clinicians at Emory Healthcare.

In her role as Radiology Informatics Manager, Kyndra is using her expertise to develop programs that strengthen workflows, support clinical teams, and enhance patient care. This achievement was a personal goal she set during her provisional semester in the League—to step outside her comfort zone, lead a meaningful initiative, and make a lasting impact.

Kyndra’s leadership, dedication, and vision are already making a meaningful difference in her workplace and the healthcare community. 🩺💙

👏 Join us in congratulating Kyndra on this incredible accomplishment!
