We are incredibly honored and excited to share that Zorro’s Crossing Horse Sanctuary and our collaboration with K-Equine for equine assisted therapy program has been featured in The October 2026 issue of Atlanta Magazine.

This recognition means the world to us as we are partnering with K EQUINE to provide healing, presence, focused on improving mental health.

Our Herd loves to heal.

We also want to extend a heartfelt, thank you to the incredibly talented author Sable Massingill Martinez for including us in this feature and beautifully, capturing the essence of our work.

We are thrilled to host Sable Massingill Martinez for a special writing workshop at our sanctuary on Saturday, October 17 from 10 AM to 12 PM. We look forward to a morning of creativity and inspiration.

Peachtree City’s Chapter BA headed to the Sanctuary, and found themselves in horse heaven! 🐴 ❤️

They spent the morning meeting the 11 horses who call Zorro’s Crossing home. Our Barn manager Sarah gave a wonderful tour, introduced them to each horse, and shared their rescue stories.

And then…it was picnic time! 🧺 🥪

Good food, great friends, beautiful scenery, and LOTS of horse love made for a pretty perfect day.

There may have been a few who were more interested in the horses than the picnic, naturally! 😂 🐴

We are so grateful for days like this with Chapter BA—visiting, exploring, laughing, learning something new, and making memories together. ❤️

The herd thoroughly enjoyed the day.

A very special weekend at Zorro’s with volunteer training with Karen Jones from Karen Jones of Motivational Horsemanship

She is teaching us so much knowledge and connection with horses and about creating a mental and emotional connection, where nothing keeps the horse by your side, except for their choice to be there.

It was incredibly engaging and rewarding to experience and learn.

Our volunteers all carry a true love for the herd so it was our appreciation to them for all of their help.

It was profound to watch Rose improve in 24 hours from being deregulated to trusting Karen and her environment.

Side note : Baby was the star with her liberty training.

✨ Equine-Assisted Reiki at Zorro’s Crossing ✨

Join us Sunday, September 27th for a unique healing experience with Felicia Holden of Hol+ (Dr. Taz).

Felicia is a wellness practitioner focused on nervous system regulation combining the calming presence of horses with Reiki Energy and Sound Therapy to encourage relaxation, restoration, and nervous system support.

Felicia uses an integrative approach to wellness into these special equine-assisted sessions.

🐴 Diva loves to participate in Reiki sessions!

Session Pricing
• 1-hour session — $165
• 30-minute session — $85

Funds from the sessions help to support the care of the horses at the sanctuary and are tax deductible.
