TMC's Career Fair is coming August 20, and we need coaches and employers at the table! The best hire you'll ever make might be a mom who's been waiting for someone to give her a chance.

We're recruiting employers with open positions and career coaches to be in the room with moms who are motivated and ready to work. We would also love to have a photographer who take professional headshots.

You’re writing a résumé and reading bedtime stories. You’re prepping for interviews and packing lunches. You’re building your future and raising someone else’s hero.

You timed the drop off, mapped the bus route, packed the bag, took a shower, fed the baby, and still walked through the door on time. That’s not average. That is exceptional.

At our 5 year anniversary party, our Director of Operations Amanda described the value of home. “We value making sure every mom feels like their home is not just a roof over their head, but a safe haven to grow and to thrive and to really see what God has for them.”

Grace has been volunteering with us for a couple of years, and her consistent presence in the childcare areas has been such a source of security! She, along with a few other volunteers, provides childcare at our monthly support groups.

When we asked her why she volunteers, here's what they said:

"When our church first started hosting TMC's monthly meetings, I wasn't quite sure how I could plug in. I'm not a mom myself, so I felt like I didn't have much wisdom or experience to offer. Then I realized, "I can watch kids for a few ...hours once a moth!

"Now I genuinely look forward to hanging out with the kids every month. By the end of each support group, I'm wiped out from a long day at work and the kids are very fun...and very energetic.

"Then I think of how moms are caring for their families day in and day out. Some working outside the home, going to school, caring for their own kids and juggling a hundred responsibilities. I'm so honored to be a small support for her so that she can have a distraction-free environment to connect, learn, and rest with other moms for just a few hours."

We're so grateful for volunteers who show up regularly to provide good care This is what community looks like. 💞
