Tonight our tiny gardeners met some even smaller gardeners- earthworms! 🪱

We learned all about how helpful our worms friends are for our plants and soil before adding about 100 of them into our garden beds 😊🌱💯

The harvesting continues and we can’t believe we only have one more week. These kiddos have planted, watered and cared for our plants since the spring and we’re already busy planning the fall 💚

🐞🌱 Our gardeners had a wonderful evening at Park of Hope this week!

We released ladybugs into the garden to help protect our plants naturally and celebrated our first early harvest of the season. Watching children connect with nature and learn how every creature has a role in the garden is what it’s all about.

This evening at the Children’s Garden, our junior gardeners built 20 bee hotels to help support pollinators both at the park and at home! Using low-VOC paint and locally sourced wild cherry wood, the kids created safe and cozy habitats for our tiny pollinator friends.

🌱 What a fantastic Thursday at the Park of Hope Children’s Garden Program! Our junior gardeners got their hands dirty planting tomatoes, strawberries, okra, pollinator plants, and so much more! 🍅🍓🌼

Along the way, we learned all about what plants need to thrive; sunshine, water, soil, and lots of love. 🌞💧🌱
