Agriculture officials are asking Georgians to keep an eye out for yellow-legged hornets. The invasive insects eat honeybees, which are vital for pollinating many crops.

FYI to all. You can't be too careful of scams like this. If you're a GBA member and receive one, please don't respond.

GBA members are getting phishing emails that say they are from Julia Mahood, but are fake. GBA will never ask you to send money, or gift cards, ever.

If you get an email that looks questionable, always look at the email address that it was sent from, not the person’s name that it says it’s from. You can see that this one comes from “[email protected]", so block the sender and throw it away, and never reply.

This is not a result of GBA being hacked. Creative scammers get email addresses from our website and then create these emails to look like they are coming from officers.

Our next club meeting is Thursday 9/11 at 7:00 pm. The topic is winter prep. Let's get these bees through the winter together so they can get off to a strong start next spring.

The Fall Equinox is almost upon us and it's time to round that corner and prepare our bees to survive the winter. As we do this, our techniques and areas of focus will need to change a bit.
