The Trans Life Awards

The Trans Life Awards We honor those Trans men and women of the community who are making waves of change!

09/18/2026

Six years of saying their names. One night that reminded us why.

This is what the 6th Annual TransLife Awards felt like: a room full of pioneers, legends, artists, advocates and the community that shows up for every single one of them.

The laughter. The tears. The moment names were called and an entire room stood up. This is what it means to give people their flowers while they’re here to receive them.

To everyone who came out, celebrated, and made this night what it was: thank you. We see you. We’re grateful for you.

Until next year, Atlanta.

No more counting.
TONIGHT, WE CELEBRATE.

The pioneers.
The legends.
The artists.
The advocates.
The leaders.
The storytellers.
The people doing the work.

And the community that continues to show the world what trans excellence looks like.
Tonight, we don’t just hand out awards.
We give people their flowers.
Welcome to the 6th Annual TransLife Awards.
Atlanta, we’ll see you tonight.

Okay friend.

If the ticket has been sitting in your cart…

If the link is open in one of your 37 browser tabs…

If somebody dropped it in the group chat and everybody said “WE NEED TO GO!”…

Hi.
This is your reminder.
Tomorrow the looks come out.
The cameras come on.
The community shows up.

And the 6th Annual TransLife Awards begins.
Don’t wake up tomorrow wishing you had made the move tonight.
Last call. Tickets at the link in bio.

What makes a legacy?

It’s what remains because you were here.
This year, the TransLife Awards is proud to honor Stasha Sanchez with the Dee Dee Chamblee Lifetime Achievement Award.

Stasha’s story stretches far beyond the stage. After relocating to Atlanta in 1997, she built an extraordinary entertainment career spanning pageantry, fashion, television and ballroom, ultimately becoming a legendary icon and Hall of Famer with more than 20 years in the pageantry circuit.

Her journey has taken her from being hand-picked by Janet Jackson for the Rock With U music video to appearing on the second season of Legendary, where she served as Overall Godmother of the House of Comme des Garcon.
But legacy is bigger than a resume.
Atlanta and Fulton County have recognized Stasha for her public service through the Sanchez Rivers Foundation, and she has remained an active voice for the LGBTQIA+ community.

That’s a lifetime of entertaining.
A lifetime of serving.
A lifetime of showing up.

And on September 5, we get to say something people deserve to hear while they’re here:
We see you. We celebrate you. And your legacy matters.

Come give Stasha her flowers with us. Link in bio.

We saved you a seat.

For now.

We’re almost there, Atlanta.
One room. One night. A community coming together to celebrate the courage, creativity and leadership that keep moving us forward.
If you’ve been saying: “I need to get my ticket...”
This is us lovingly reminding you that “need to” has officially become “go do it.”

Tickets are waiting at the link in bio.

Okay…now it’s getting REAL.
The details are coming together.
The room is taking shape.
The finishing touches are happening.
And somewhere in Atlanta, somebody has three outfits laid across the bed saying: “Okay, but which one is THE look?”
We’re getting close.
Very close.
September 5.

This number hits a little differently.
Six years of saying their names. Six years of celebrating their work. Six years of creating a space where trans lives are celebrated for the brilliance, creativity, leadership and joy that have always been here.

Our Deputy Director, Harrison Staley, has a simple ask as we get closer: come out and celebrate with us.

Not just the honorees on stage, but the community that shows up for each other all year long. This night only means something because you’re in the room for it.

6 days. September 5, 2026 | Atlanta, GA.

What makes a pioneer?

Sometimes, it’s being willing to go first.
Meet Mariah Moore, our Pioneer of the Year.
Mariah is a nationally recognized transgender rights activist, policy strategist and movement leader who has spent more than 13 years working at the intersection of housing justice, racial equity, public safety and LGBTQ+ civil rights. She also co-founded House of Tulip, addressing housing instability among transgender and gender-diverse people in New Orleans.

And when we say pioneer, we mean it.
Mariah made history as the first openly transgender woman to run for New Orleans City Council and later became the first transgender person appointed to the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority Board of Commissioners.
That’s what going first can look like.
Not simply occupying space, but helping transform it for everyone coming behind you.

On September 5, we’re giving Mariah her flowers.
Come celebrate her with us. Get in the room, link in bio.

Respectfully…
Don’t watch this one from your feed.
There will be pictures.
There will be videos.
There will absolutely be a recap.
But none of them will feel like being in the room.
The 6th Annual TransLife Awards is almost here.
Get dressed. Grab your people. Come celebrate with us.
Get your tickets at the link in bio.
