Thank you Flowery Branch High School students for your recent sensory toy drive of behalf of Joshua's Voice.

These sensory toys serve as tools in our sensory kits to calm neurodiverse individuals in times of crisis so that they can safely receive the help they need.

You didn't just donate a student sensory toy. You opened up the arms of compassion to your community.

HALL CO. TO HOST RIBBON CUTTING TO CELEBRATE NEW ALL-INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND

Hall County Government officials will celebrate the grand opening of the new all-inclusive playground at Laurel Park on Saturday, April 12, at 5 p.m.

“This is an exciting and much-needed addition to Hall County Parks and Leisure and our community as a whole,” District 3 Commissioner Gregg Poole said. “Our County’s children deserve a place where they feel safe, accepted and can play among other children regardless of their ability levels, and I am proud to be a part of a project that supports those initiatives.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony is planned concurrently with the County’s annual “Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt,” which will also take place at Laurel Park on April 12 from 5 to 9 p.m.

“Our team has worked hard to fill 35,000 eggs, and we are excited for another great turnout this year,” Marketing and Public Relations Administrator Natalae La Doucer said. “We want to remind citizens that space is limited, so we encourage them to visit our website and register today.”

What a fun opportunity!

Our next monthly “Family Fun Day” with the Delta Air Lines "Taking Flight" Mock Flight Tour is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport from 10 am-12 pm. We welcome all ages children/ adults with special needs.

This event is FREE and for all ages!!

Delta Air Lines' employees will take you and your family member who has autism and/ or other special needs on a tour through Atlanta's Worldport airport. It is a great opportunity to help families navigate through the airport with less stress and have fun.

We will discuss safety practices and how to prepare for your family's future flight. There will be time to sit in the flight deck, meet crew members and take pictures.

Location: International Terminal, in the F Lobby, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport
Meeting Place: In front of the Sweet Auburn Market near the Delta ticket counter.
Please arrive by 9:50 a.m., Saturday March 1, 2025. We will provide gate passes for families to attend.

👀 is just one of the five senses we learned about in school. There are actually many more!

You may know someone who always has 🕶️ on their face or head. It’s not just about looking cool 😎. While bright💡 (even indoor lights) may be a nuisance for some, it can be very painful and distracting for others.

We include a pair of sunglasses in each one of our sensory kits. What may seem like a simple way to filter the ☀️ on a summer day can be a valuable tool for others.
