Every year, more than 20,000 teenagers age out of the foster care system. They have incredible potential, but they need the community to stand in the gap. This National Foster Care Awareness Month, Believe In Our Vizion is launching our 20/20 Campaign, and we need YOUR help to turn vision into reality.

This is why I fight so hard to keep Believe in Our Vizion going.

Because every child deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and SAFE.

The truth is… the journey these kids are on is not one they asked for, but it’s one they carry with them into adulthood. And the statistics don’t lie:

Only 54.2% of foster youth in Georgia graduate high school, compared to 87.2% statewide.
About 35% face homelessness after aging out.
41% experience incarceration.
And far too many young women face early pregnancy and single parenthood before they’ve had a chance to truly find themselves.

These aren’t just numbers. These are real lives. Real stories.

So when I see a young lady beat the odds, rise above, and walk into her future with strength and purpose… I know she is blessed. Because not every child in foster care gets that outcome.

That’s why I will continue to show up. To pour in. To create spaces of love, stability, and opportunity.

Because one life changed is worth the fight. Every single time.

Every year, thousands of teens “age out” of the foster care system, often stepping into the world without the safety net most of us take for granted. At Believe in Our Vizion, we refuse to let these resilient young adults navigate the “real world” alone.
It is a heartbreaking reality that because of their situation, these teens often lack access to the basic resources, mentorship, and opportunities that every young person deserves. We are changing that narrative. Through our dedicated programs, we are equipping them with the life skills, confidence, and tools necessary to achieve lasting success.
But we can’t do it alone. We need YOUR hands and YOUR heart to expand our reach.
We are actively seeking:
• Board Members: Visionary leaders to help steer our mission.
• Sponsors: Businesses ready to invest in the next generation.
• Donations: Every dollar directly funds programs that bridge the gap from foster care to independence.
• Partners: Community members willing to advocate for our youth.
