This weekend was unique for us, we served AS VOLUNTEERS. 🤭

We enjoyed being able to serve with Girls Who Bike on Saturday giving away bikes to deserving children and with Hearts at Home today providing Christmas festivities and toys to deserving children.

We appreciate the opportunity to come out and be ‘Principal 4 a Day.’ It was an eventful morning and insightful for us as a community resource. We look forward to future collaborations with DCSS. 💛💙

Today our founder had the opportunity to speak at Pittman Park, and it was a powerful experience. Chelsea walked the teens through some meaningful discussions. The teens dropped real, thought-provoking questions such as:

“What are reasons people go to therapy?”
“Whats the difference between self harm and suicide?”
“What is anxiety?”

The teens also walked through creating a “Safety Plan” which focused on four important factors:

Warning Signs
Coping Skills
Safe Space
Support System

Parents we encourage you to create a safe space for your kids to express their thoughts, feelings and emotions. The interactions and experiences children face now will impact their functioning in adulthood. Start… now… 🏁
