**Coffee Break Reflections on Our Home Transformation Journey 🏠✨**
Deservedly sipping on a coffee ☕️, I'm pausing to share our family's exhilarating journey of renovating our beloved home of 13 years. These past weeks have been a whirlwind of activity - I've transformed into a makeshift general contractor 🛠️, coordinating a parade of workers, while we as a family have dived into the realms of packing 📦, unpacking, rearranging, donating ❤️, and, most importantly, decluttering. Witnessing our home's transformation unfold right before our eyes has been nothing short of magical 🌟.
We've just finished installing new LVP floors, and oh, what a difference it makes! Our home feels brand new 🏡, with acoustics that make my singing echo amusingly around the house 🎶. The absence of carpet and the introduction of a few select low pile area rugs have brought a fresh vibe to our space.
The excitement continues as we gear up for the next big project - a complete makeover of our double wooden stairwell 🪜. Out goes the old pine, in comes the elegant oak, all to be sanded, restained, and refinished in a chic dark grey. This is set to be the grand statement piece greeting everyone at the front entrance!
But wait, there's more! Our kitchen island is getting a fantastic expansion 🏗️, making way for stunning new countertops. We've demolished the old knee wall to open up the space between the kitchen and living room - a change I've been dreaming of for years. Goodbye clutter, hello openness!
The transformation doesn't stop there. A skilled tile setter is all set to demolish and revamp our kitchen backsplash, followed by the installation of our new quartz countertops 💎. Imagine this: a pristine white quartz with delicate grey veins, a perfect backdrop for family gatherings, laughter 😄, and of course, my upcoming nutrition and cooking videos 🎥🍳. Excitement is an understatement! Family is where the heart is. ❤️
Our kitchen's new era will be crowned with the installation of a SMART microwave 🌐, replacing our old, tired one. Then comes the sleek new white subway tile backsplash with grey grout - a symbol of our home's fresh start in February 🗓️.
Oh, and how could I forget? We're hosting a 'massive dump party' 😂 with a rented dumpster - a therapeutic purge of unwanted items 🗑️, making way for new beginnings and our newly upgraded home gym 🏋️♂️, where I'll start welcoming personal training clients to get in the best shape of our lives! 💪🏼
Come April, the cherry on top 🍒 will be the painting of our kitchen cabinets in a radiant white, extending this fresh look to all the cabinets throughout our entire home.
This makeover journey has rejuvenated not just our home but our spirits as well. The removal of the carpet alone has been a major health revelation 💪! It's amazing how physical transformations can lead to such mental upliftment and well-being. No more clutter!
So, amidst all this, ministry work continues ✝️, and I've even managed to sneak in some workouts🏃♀️. My daily 'stairmaster' routine involves climbing the stairs in our home navigating the renovation, keeping everything on track while burning those calories! ⚖️
Taking this coffee break ☕️, I'm reflecting on the learning, the joy 🎉, and even the stress (like budget watching! 💰) of this transformative journey for our family.
New year, new renovations, new me 🎇.
