The Faculty Cup goes to the senior determined to be the best representative of Villa Rica High School for the class of 2020. This senior is of the highest character, has demonstrated the most integrity, and has exemplified what it means when we say We Are VR. In short, this is the student we all want our children to be most like when they grow up.

It is an honor to acknowledge Hannah Goen as the 2020 VRHS Faculty Cup recipient because she embodies what it means to be a Wildcat. Hannah is an exceptional young lady who leaves a mark wherever she goes. She is a true example of a servant leader, going over and beyond in the classroom and on the court, while constantly lifting others up. She always greets everyone with a smile and makes those around her feel welcome and comfortable. Not only does she consistently provide support and encouragement to her peers, but she is equally committed to supporting her teachers and her school. She is known as one who will step in wherever she sees a need, regardless of the task. Her big heart and infectious personality will truly be missed at VRHS. Congratulations, Hannah!

Senior Highlight of the Week : Linda Rivera Ramos

My plans after graduation are to go to college, if it is God's will, and become a professional and stand out in the career I choose to pursue. Another thing that I would like to do while I am in college is to belong to the sports team of the university I attend. Playing sports has become something very important and special in my life that I don't want to lose. Something I want to do is get a job at the end of my university studies, to further my development in the profession I am studying. I hope that by the time I finish my studies, I can have the ability to have my own company, be independent, and successful in life.

My favorite Bible verse is: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (TPT)
But he answered me, “My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.

Something that I will miss a lot about school is the friendships I made there since most of them will last forever. The activities that made our days more fun (the spirit week), and the teachers who brightened our day.
