People have asked us whether our cacao is “natural,” “organic,” or what ingredients we add to it. The answer is refreshingly simple:

It’s cacao. Just cacao.

That’s the whole process. We start with imported cacao beans -- primarily from Central America and the Caribbean, though we’ve explored beans from other regions too. We roast them, crack them, grind them, and package them. No fillers, no powdered shortcuts, no mystery ingredients hiding in the bag. Just pure, 100% cacao.

The photo below shows the journey: whole cacao beans → cracked cacao nibs → finely ground brewing cacao. That’s it. Nothing added, nothing taken away.

These particular beans are from the Dominican Republic; they're organically grown; and they’re a great example of what we love about cacao: rich flavor, natural energy, and all the wonderful complexity that comes from keeping things simple. Sometimes the best ingredient list is the shortest one.
