The fine folks at Cherokee Recreation and Parks know how to play - AND work! Last month, they cleaned their mile for three hours, filling six bags weighing 75 pounds.

Frankie wrote us a note on their cleanup report: “We always love cleaning up Wellstar Way and getting out as a group to make our community look cleaner.”

We love cleaner roads, too, and these smiles. Thank you, volunteers! 💚🌟

Bravo to our fellow eco warriors - the Allatoona Lake Warriors! They spent most of their Sunday tending the lake we all love. 💛

📣 Call for Pontoon Boat Captains!! 📣

The annual Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup needs boat captains to ferry people to dirty shores. 🚤

Don’t worry — the trash stays on the shore and will be picked up Sunday and Monday. 🚮

Please contact Lake Allatoona Association board member, Dave Matthews, if you are interested in joining this effort! 🤝

Remember:

Always take a p**p bag on walks so you can protect our groundwater. 🐶

Take your pup along to enjoy nature! 🦮
