IN REMEMBRANCE – SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Today, the Acworth Police Foundation pauses to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We remember the innocent victims and honor the first responders who demonstrated incredible bravery and selflessness—many making the ultimate sacrifice while working to save the lives of others.

As an organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement and our community, we are especially reminded today of the meaning of service, courage, and sacrifice.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor their memory and stand with the families, first responders, and communities forever impacted by that day.

We will never forget.

Thank you to our incredible National Night Out sponsors! 🎉

Because of the generosity of our local businesses, we were able to raffle off amazing prizes during National Night Out while collecting canned food donations for our community food pantry.

Your support helped make this event a success and made a meaningful impact on families in our community. We are grateful for every business that donated and partnered with us to give back.

Please join us in thanking these wonderful businesses for their generosity and continued support of the Acworth Police Department and our community!

Today, Macey Williams, our Senior Crime Analyst and Real Time Crime Center Manager, had the opportunity to visit Bells Ferry Elementary School to speak with students about her career in public safety and crime analysis.

We are proud to partner with our local schools and appreciate the opportunity to engage with students and share the many career paths available in law enforcement and public safety.

Thank you to Bells Ferry Elementary for your continued partnership and support of the Acworth Police Department! 💙

🚔🖤 Today marks the beginning of Law Enforcement Week. 🚔🖤
As we embark on this week of reflection and gratitude, let's pause to honor and remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Let's also take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation to the brave men and women who continue to serve and protect our communities each day. 💙

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

National Police Week is a collaborative effort of many organizations dedicated to honoring America’s law enforcement community.

Thank you for your dedication, courage, and sacrifice. You are deeply appreciated.
