June 19 holds deep significance for BOON. Today, as we commemorate Juneteenth, we also celebrate BOON’s third birthday.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not only something to celebrate, but something to steward. Through faith, community, and intentional formation, BOON is working to equip those who disciple Black youth to lead with wisdom, cultural awareness, and spiritual depth, helping to build a future in which Black youth are seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

To mark this meaningful milestone, we are honored to share a special message from BOON’s Founder, Rev. Candice Wynn.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us build something meaningful over the past three years. We invite you to listen, reflect, and celebrate with us as we honor how far we have come and look ahead to the future of BOON.

52% of teenagers regularly use AI companions. It’s clear they are looking for a "safe" place to talk.
But if we want teenagers to seek more wisdom from people, we have to build environments where they have permission to grow.
At BOON, we’re researching exactly how to do that, and we need the experts to help us.
