August is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month! 🛶🚵📣

We have several opportunities to get involved with Catalyst Sports Knoxville this August:

🛶 Adaptive Kayaking — Two opportunities to get out on the water and experience the joy of paddling!

🚵 Adaptive Mountain Biking — Join us on the trails for a great day of adventure and community.

📣 Veterans Resource Fair Outreach Event — We’ll also be connecting with the community and sharing information about Catalyst Sports and the opportunities we offer.

We need volunteers for ALL of our August events! Whether you’re helping on the water, on the trails, or representing us in the community, your support helps make these experiences possible. 🙌

💥 BIG NEWS! Catalyst Sports is a once again finalist for the 2026 Defender Service Awards, presented by Chase, in the Defender Service Honorees category!

The winner will receive a customized Defender 130 vehicle designed to meet their organization’s needs, plus a $30,000 award to advance their mission. For Catalyst Sports, this would mean bringing adaptive sports and outdoor adventure to even more people with physical disabilities across the Southeast.

We have had a few last minute spots open up for our Adaptive Hike at Great Smoky Mountains National Park this Saturday, June 20th, on the Oconaluftee River Trail! Join a ranger to learn about the natural and cultural history of the park, and enjoy a scenic hike along the river. GRIT Freedom Chairs are available to borrow for both the morning and afternoon sessions. Bring your friends and family for this completely FREE hike!

🚣‍♀️ Adaptive Kayaking is Back for 2026! 🚣‍♂️

We're excited to share that our adaptive kayaking soft launch was a great success! A special welcome and thank you to our previous kayaking coordinator, Stevie, and our new kayaking coordinator, Mike, who helped set us up for a fantastic season for everyone involved.

Now, we're looking ahead to an exciting 2026 season, and we're thrilled to announce that our first adaptive kayaking event of the year will take place on June 20, 2026!
