Meet our not-so-spicy culinary vegetable, Pepper! This 7-year-old boxer mix is such a sweetheart and truly has some of the best manners around. She’s gentle, loving, and takes treats ever so politely from your hand like the classy lady she is.

Pepper already knows commands like sit and finds the most comfort curled up beside her favorite humans. She has a very positive history with children and would make such a wonderful companion for a calm and loving family. While she adores people, Pepper would prefer to have all the love to herself in her future home, so she’s looking for a pet-free household where she can feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

Come meet this sweet girl at the Athens Area Humane Society. Our adoption center is open 9AM - 6PM, Wednesday through Monday (closed on Tuesdays). Lottie 😍😍

Needs a loving family 🩷

Little Miss Lottie is a lovely Dachshund who is both snuggly and spunky, depending on her mood. She absolutely loves to go on walks and explore outdoors but she is also a “velcro” lap-sitter. Lottie follows her foster mom around the house all day, staring at her with those soft brown eyes that are filled with adoration. Lottie came to us from a rough background where she didn’t get much attention. Sadly she was made to stay outside a lot. She is thriving as a house dog now and she has grown accustomed to relaxing on soft beds and furniture. Lottie would be fine in a household with other dogs but she’s also perfectly happy to be your one and only furkid. (We aren’t sure how she is with cats because her foster home doesn’t have any.) Please note that Lottie is not a mini Doxie — she is a sturdy girl who weighs just under 20 pounds at three years of age.
