Do you have an emotional support or service animal that you would like to write off on your taxes? Well you can.
Now you can’t just do it w***y nilly. But legally you can do it😂😂😂😂however, there are conditions to be met and in reality having a ESA is a medical expense . And a service expense if its a security Animal.
It would be an itemized deduction wrote off under your business for the security animal and for an ESA your medical expenses must exceed 7.5% of your AGI.
Although I wouldn’t advise to add it to business expenses if it’s “personal pet”. If you ever get audited with no proof you’ll pay a bigger price for lying.
And if your tax professional doesn’t understand how to do this or can’t answer questions pertaining it. Get a new one. 💋
