Hello Friends and Family,

In recent weeks, many of you have heard the awesome news that Brian Johnson Jr. has been officially confirmed as a kidney match donor for his father, Brian Johnson Sr.. To some of you, this might be the first time hearing about Brian’s health challenges. He never reached out to any of us to complain, ask for help or request financial assistance. Now, with this ‘financial intervention’ by some of his friends, that is all about to change as we are organizing an emergency gift raising event and need your help. See letter for further details and give.

For those of you who would like to make a donation but do not have access to Zelle, please reach out to Carmella White at 770-630-1243 for further options to donate.

Hello Friends and Family,

In recent weeks, many of you have heard the awesome news that Brian Johnson Jr. has been officially confirmed as a kidney match donor for his father, Brian Johnson Sr.. To some of you, this might be the first time hearing about Brian’s health challenges. Brian has kept his kidney disease and weekly dialysis program private, in favor of focusing on others like his father, family, church and community. He never reached out to any of us to complain, ask for help or request financial assistance. Now, with this ‘financial intervention’ by some of his friends, that is all about to change as we are organizing an emergency gift raising event and need your help.

It all started after recently attending Brian’s father’s funeral (the Honorable James “JJ” Johnson), when a few of us cornered Brian Sr. asking for an update on his fight for a kidney transplant and news of Brian Jr.. And, after a few google searches on our own, we realized the costly price for the transplant operation, the initial 30 day-long hospitalization for both of them, as well as the ongoing medication and medical services.

These medical costs run in the thousands and don’t include reimbursements for travel arrangements, related hotel stays, food, employment absences and incidentals. Our request will go to helping with all the above costs as well as financial flexibility for Brian to focus on his health and recovery. Depending on the level of success of the transplant, there could be on-going medical hospitalization into the future which complicates the estimated final goal we want to reach.

For now, if you are reading this letter, you have been identified as a person that the Johnson’s have touched your life in some meaningful way. You are considered a close friend to the family and are encouraged to share this cause with others. Please spend time explaining the high character, morals and values this family has demonstrated over the years and the impact they have had on our communities.

So, now you understand a little more of the urgency/importance of raising this gift for Brian and his son, please consider giving to the following Zelle account in the amounts suggested below (rest assured that we have placed proper controls and policy around the accuracy and use of the funds safeguarding your gift):

Zelle account @ [email protected]
We ask for monetary gifts in the amounts of $20, $50, $100, $250 or higher
and/or a monthly pledge for one, two or three years in the amount of $19.38 (this amount represent the year James was born - 1938 and therefore will be pledge in his memory as a gift to his son - Brian)

Brian has since shared that he will donate a portion of your gift to others less fortunate with similar organ transplant financial challenges. We are using this account to provide flexibility in partnering with other non-for profit organizations that could match his donation. If you have any questions regarding this gift raising event, please call Paul Stanley at 678-938-1671 or Carmella White at 770-630-1243.
