FREE VIRTUAL CAREER EVENT FOR PMI ATLANTA MEMBERS

There’s no argument that we’re in the midst of a historic downturn, and many talented individuals are looking for work from within the PM community. A few organizations are starting to look towards building a talent backlog to hire from.

Due to the unique circumstances presented by the pandemic, PMI Atlanta is making this event free for both members and recruiters.

Job seekers will be able to hear from potential employers about positions that are either currently open or will be opening shortly. In addition, there will be a Q&A session to address specific questions for the recruiters.

Employers/Recruiters will present a slide or two about current/future openings. We expect a large draw, and this event will allow for recruiters to get access to PMI Atlanta’s varied talent pool.

Prior to the event, Job Seekers will receive instructions on how to drop their resumes onto a secure SharePoint folder. The attendee resumes will be made accessible to the Employers/Recruiters.

It’s a $2500 scholarship that can goes toward someone who is in need of support to fund their undergraduate or graduate studies.

PMI Atlanta is a proud participant of the PMIEF (PMI Educational Foundation) scholarship program.

NIGERIA’S DANGOTE GROUP PARTNERS WITH PMI GLOBAL!

Nigeria’s own DANGOTE GROUP is a big deal! As a Nigerian, whose family once had business affiliation with Dangote Cement , I am super proud to witness Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote, one of the richest business men in the world partner with PMI, a global organization that I am proud to be a part of!

Dangote Group has emerged the first African business organization to become a member of the influential Global Executive Council (GEC) of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

This was disclosed by Group Executive Director, Capital Projects of Dangote Industries Limited, Devakumar Edwin in a statement released by the company.

Edwin reportedly pledged the company’s commitment to effectively take part in the activities of the PMI Global Executive Council.

What this means: According to Edwin, Dangote Group joining the PMI would be a very important deal as it would enable the company to participate as an equal stakeholder of some of the world’s most respected organizations spread across different industries doing great things, changing the world.
