2025 Ohio Pawpaw Festival Biking Event- Team Eli and Team Deidra!
A great day of community! Thank you to everyone who came out!

Saturday, Sept 19th is our once a year biking event!

The PawPaw Festival bike event starts at 9 am, and it has a new location this year!
Located in Nelsonville, the ride starts and ends at Baileys Buchtel Trail Head (5579 OH-685, Glouster, OH).

We will be completing the 8 - 10 mile road ride, described as touring “the Buchtel area, including historic churches, earthworks, spectacular views, and the iconic Buchtel Springs. The route will avoid large hills and gravel, and is suitable for any bike type (e-bikes are welcome).”

Paul Richard our events coordinator will be working with the festival leaders to procure passes for THAS teammates into the festival.

We currently have two champions ready to ride. We’d like to have two to three teammates per champion.
Pulling a champion with your bike is not required to participate, but always helpful. It is also helpful for our champions to see people riding alongside them to remind them that they are part of a team. Sometimes bikers take turn pulling the champion to lighten the load.

Please let us know if you can join in this traditional adventure at a new location! You can email [email protected] to join our team!

Another great Parade of the Hills 5K day!
Thanks to everyone who makes this event happen each year. We had a great group of teammates and champions that enjoyed the day. Our team recieved a "Most Inspiring Team" award.
We hope to inspire everyone to see the joy that comes with belonging. Being apart of a community and seen for the gifts we each have to share.

2026 Update to our leadership team!
We want to introduce a new member of the Team Athens Leadership Coordination.
You have likely seen our teammate Cathy Lee at our events as Deidre’s Teammate and they are pictured together in this post! She has decided to become the Team Athens Teammate Coordinator. She will be the one connecting with current Teammates and recruiting new Teammates.
Welcome to the leadership team Cathy, and thank you so much for stepping up to help!

Are you interested in helping?

We are always looking for additional coordination supports, and this coming year we would love help with managing equipment set up, tear down and maintenance. This is a small job that would be checking equipment before events and helping set up and tear down at the events.
