2026 Update to our leadership team!
We want to introduce a new member of the Team Athens Leadership Coordination.
You have likely seen our teammate Cathy Lee at our events as Deidre’s Teammate and they are pictured together in this post! She has decided to become the Team Athens Teammate Coordinator. She will be the one connecting with current Teammates and recruiting new Teammates.
Welcome to the leadership team Cathy, and thank you so much for stepping up to help!

Are you interested in helping?

We are always looking for additional coordination supports, and this coming year we would love help with managing equipment set up, tear down and maintenance. This is a small job that would be checking equipment before events and helping set up and tear down at the events.

Thanks to all of you who have let me know you can join us for Race for a Reason on Saturday, April 26. We have 12 Champions joining us, seven for the 5K Run and five (maybe 6) for the 3K Walk.

For this event, the organizers ask that all THAS Teammates register with Race for a Reason, and they comp all the Champions.

Scroll down to the 5K Run or the 3K Walk. Click on that and then follow the leads through to register. When you get to your 'reason' select Team Heart and Sole and some of your registration fee goes to THAS.

For planning sake: the 5K Run start at 9:45. The 3K Walk starts at 10:00. We will be setting up beginning around 8:30 in the Peden Stadium parking lot. Feel free to help out if you are able. Champions will begin arriving around 9:00. Races beginning and end inside Peden Stadium. However, race packet pick up is inside Grover Hall.
