Friends,

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the news that the upcoming Miss Spirit of Athens Pageant has been canceled.

This was an incredibly difficult decision for us. So much time, energy, and excitement has gone into planning this event, and we know how much it meant to our contestants, sponsors, and families. The Miss Spirit of Athens Pageant is about so much more than a crown — it’s about building confidence, creating friendships, stepping outside of comfort zones, and celebrating the amazing young ladies in our community.

To our contestants: we are beyond proud of you. It takes courage to sign up, to prepare, and to put yourself out there. Please know that your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed.

To our sponsors: thank you for believing in our vision and supporting these young girls. Your generosity truly makes an impact, and we are so grateful for each of you.

All contestants and sponsors who have made payments will be contacted individually via email with more information and next steps. We want to make sure everyone is taken care of personally and clearly.

This is not the outcome we hoped for, but we are so thankful for the support and understanding from our community. The spirit of Athens is strong and we hope to be back next year, better than ever!

It's that time of year! The 4th Annual Miss Spirit of Athens pageant is planned for Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Athens Middle School!

Where do I begin!

First and foremost, I want to say thank you to the queens and their families for being involved and receptive to changes and hiccups along the way. This was my first year making a float and first full year as director of the pageant and they have been wonderful to work with. We missed a couple last night but overall we had a great turnout for the parade. Also thank you for the amazing pictures and allowing me to share!

Thank you to my sweet husband, Russ, for building the frame of the float.

Thank you to MPE Services for sponsoring our pageant and float this year! We're so thankful for our sponsors!!! Robby Potter

Thank you to Christopher Haney for supplying the truck and driving our queens and Haney Equipment Co for loaning us the float!

And lastly, but not least, the Athens High School Golden Eagle Band and Ty Parker for all your help and support with our pageant!
